DeviceAnywhere debuts Motorola Virtual Developer Lab

Tools

Mobile application development solutions provider DeviceAnywhere announced a partnership with handset maker Motorola to unveil the Motorola Virtual Developer Lab, a remote web-based testing service promising to reduce the time and resources required to create, monitor and deploy mobile applications and content for Motorola phones. According to DeviceAnywhere, the Motorola Virtual Developer Lab desktop interface offers members of the Motodev mobile developer community in the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, India and Brazil instant remote access to more than 40 handsets, including devices from all major operators.

DeviceAnywhere solutions now support more than 2,000 devices on 30 different carrier networks worldwide, employing real, physical handsets connected to live networks to enable developers to interact with devices exactly as if they held the devices in their hands. Users may press device buttons, tap on touchscreens, connect or disconnect the battery, view the LCD, listen to ringers and speakers, and even open or close a handset.
