Sony Ericsson denies Xperia delay rumors

Tools

Sony Ericsson on Monday official denied rumors the upcoming Xperia X1, the handset maker's first Windows Mobile-based device, would fail to arrive at retail in time for the holiday shopping season. Over the weekend several technology blogs and Swedish daily Dagens Nyheter reported Sony Ericsson would be forced to delay its planned Xperia rollout due to software concerns, citing unnamed sources within the company--however, a Sony Ericsson spokesperson denied the claims, insisting "There is absolutely no delay. The product is on track. We have said it will roll out in Q4 and we are on target to do that."
