Tools

Sony Ericsson has unveiled the P990 smartphone, the long-awaited upgrade to the P910. The P990 runs Symbian OS 9.1 and is the first phone to incorporate the UIQ 3 interface. (Symbian has launched a new developer program and SDK for UIQ 3.) The smartphone has a QVGA display, Bluetooth, WiFi, a 2-MP camera, a small QWERTY keyboard, an FM radio/MP3 player, a Memory Stick Duo slot and, of course, 3G UMTS support. The P990 comes with Opera 8 for Web browsing and supports several push email solutions. The phone will be available in stores early next year. Release | Pictures
