T-Mobile announces 3G strategy

T-Mobile USA is shaking off its image as a second-tier carrier with no 3G data services. The company spent $4.2 billion at the recent FCC auctions and won big. Now T-Mobile has announced plans to deploy a nationwide UMTS network. The company says it will focus specifically on social networking, user-generated content and bringing Web 2.0 applications to the cell phone.
