Sony Ericsson has announced support for OpenGL ES API 1.1 in its three UIQ 3 smartphones, complete with a downloadable SDK. The company may still be fighting an uphill battle with UIQ 3 in the U.S., but new uptake statistics show that UIQ is a viable platform on the world stage.
